The NextPoint Unified Communications Exchange (UCX) provides interoperability and connectivity across the diverse set of network elements and end-user devices that comprise a unified communications architecture. The UCX provides the signaling translations required for voice, video, and real-time data communications to be delivered in a seamless manner across multiple protocols, multiple vendors, and multiple networks.

The UCX reduces the capital expenditure required for deployment of new services into existing environments, by providing a protocol-bridge between existing H.323-capable devices and SIP based systems. It also provides vendor interworking to avoid additional investments often required when standardizing an environment.

Operating expenses can be lowered by reducing the amount of effort required to maintain a complex environment. The UCX provides centralized routing, policy-based management, and automation that pro-actively manages communications traffic.
